Flexible Connectors

Colton Industries offers Series PCSST and Series PC22F Flexible Stainless Steel connectors. Colton connectors allow pressure to exert itself uniformly in all directions, thus reducing the force exerted on pipe lines and equipment. The PCSST Series connector is available in sizes 1/2" to 3" with various types of end connections for pressures as high as 1075 psi depending on size, length and operating temperature. The PCSSF Series connector is available in sizes 2" to 48" with flanged, butt-welded, or grooved end connections.

Watts Water Technologies, Inc. offers the CWH-S and LFCWH-S flexible braided stainless steel connectors for water heating applications. Connectors provide full flow capacity and protection from vibration and bursting under pressure surges and seismic activity. Connectors consist of Santoprene tubing jacketed with braided stainless steel, and permanently attached, brass, compression end fittings. Connectors range in length from 12" to 60", and range in size from 5/8" to 7/8". LFCWH-S models are available in lead-free configurations.

Abbott Rubber Co., Inc. offers Male to Male and Flange to Flange flexible stainless steel connectors. Connectors have an annular close pitch type 321 stainless steel hose braided with type 304 stainless steel reinforcement. Connectors have a temperature range up to 850°F. The maximum inner diameter is 8", and the maximum overall length is 12". Male to Male connectors have carbon steel NPT solid males welded on each end, and flange to flange connectors have carbon steel solid ASA 150# plate flange welded on each end. NPT female, weld end, weld neck flange, slip-on flange, floating flange, and male/female union is also available.

Elasto-Valve Rubber Products, Inc. offers Series PC-35, EC-25, CJ-31, CC15, EJ-41, DF/DB, DF-60, and control unit rubber connectors. Series PC-35, EC-25, and CC-15 connectors are designed specifically to reduce and isolate noise and vibration from pumps and other operating equipment. Available with working pressures of up to 300 psi, and all types of elastomers including Teflon lining, these connectors are widely used in various industries from mining to food processing. For situations where piping diameters of different sizes must be connected, Series CJ-31 concentric connectors can be used. Series CJ-31 connectors provide solutions for systems with load stresses, settling/equipment wear, misalignment issues, etc.

Reichel-Korfmann, Inc. offers straight and tapered flex connectors. Connectors are made from a variety of materials, including: SBR rubber, silicone, Butyl, EPDM, FDA pure gum, FDA white nitrile, Hypalon, Neoprene, etc. Sheet rubber diameter ranges from 2" to 200"+, length ranges from 1/2" to 250", and wall thickness ranges from 1/16" to 2". Reichel-Korfmann uses uncured compounds, hot vulcanization of seams with heat & pressure, and careful inspection to verify adherence to required specs. Custom requests are welcome.

U.S. Plastic Corp. offers PVC flexible connectors. Inner diameter ranges from 3/8" to 2 1/2", and the maximum working pressure ranges from 40 to 66. Connectors are transparent and can be used with rigid PVC, acrylic, butyrate, polycarbonate, or Tamco flexible vinyl tubing. The outside diameter or the tubing fits inside diameter of collar on fittings. A clamp, if used, slips over the collar.

Kinetics Noise Control offers FC, UTC, FTC, KMC, and KWA KinFlex flexible connectors. Connectors prevent stresses due to expansion and contraction, isolate against the transfer of noise and vibration, and compensate for misalignment. Applications include: air conditioning, heating, ventilating, industrial, power plant, marine systems, sewage treatment plant, pollution control, control rod, etc. Connectors are made of Neoprene, rubber, EPDM, nylon, mild steel, stainless steel, and bronze materials.

Packless Industries offers FLH, FLHU, and FLN flexible connectors. Each fitting is available in twelve different sizes, and each unit is pressure/vacuum tested. Tubing is made of corrugated red brass and bronze materials. Inner diameter/overall length ranges from 3/8 x 9 to 1 x 12, and maximum working pressure at room temperature ranges from 550 to 1000 psig.

All products are degreased, cleaned and dried in accordance with AVS and industry standards. All standard products are leak checked to 1 x 10 -9 cc/second. These connectors improve the performance of electrical grounding and transmission systems by enabling two independent high-voltage systems to be connected without vibration or energy loss. Mueller Industries offers flexible gas and water connectors. Connectors are made of 304 stainless steel materials (ASTM A240). Gas connectors are approved for use with natural, manufactured, LP (propane), and LP air mixture gases with internal line pressure no greater than 1/2 lbs. psi. Water connectors have a temperature rating range from 40°F to 180°F, a working pressure of up to 125 psig, and an intermittent impulse pressure of up to 180 psig. Water connectors are available from 3/4" ID and 12" to 48" in length.

FLEX-ING offers flexible connectors with the 346 swivel or EZ fit technology. These connectors are SB 989 compliant, have an all metal construction, and are testable under full vacuum. Connectors have a working pressure of 350 psi, exceeding the UL 50 psi requirement of 3/4" -3", and 225 psi on 4". Connectors are made of an 18-8 alloy with aluminum construction, with a 321 stainless steel inner core (providing longer service life).
